What you need

cup water

tsp ghee

pinch salt

cup coconut
cup jaggery

tsp cardamom powder
Instructions
1: Bring the water to a boil with salt and ghee. 2: Add the rice flour and mix immediately to form a rough dough. 3: Switch off the flame, cover, and rest for 10 minutes. 4: Knead into a smooth dough. 5: For the sweet filling: Toast 1 cup of coconut for 2 minutes and add the jaggery. 6: Mix well and add the cardamom powder, and set aside. 7: Divide the dough. 8: Roll the dough into discs, cut using a cutter for uniform shape, and place the stuffing in the center and close the ends of the dough to make a half-moon shape, making indents at the end with your finger. 9: Steam the modaks for 10 minutes.View original recipe
