What you need

cashew nut

tbsp raisin
cup cooked rice

cup moong beans

cup water

cup milk

pinch salt

pinch nutmeg

tsp cardamom powder

cup honey
Instructions
1: Wash and soak the rice for 2 hours. 2: Toast the moong dal until aromatic and add it to the soaked rice and let it soak for 10 minutes. 3: In a pot add the soaked rice and moong dal and add milk and a pinch of salt to it. 4: Cook it on a medium-low flame while stirring it continuously. 5: Cook it until it reaches a porridge-like consistency, then add ghee, cardamom, and nutmeg powder. 6: Add the honey, fried raisins, and cashews and mix thoroughly. 7: Serve the paal pongal warm.View original recipe
