1: Bring the water to a boil. Then add the rice. 2: Mix well to combine and cover with a lid. Place a heavy weight on the lid and cook for 45 minutes. 3: Once cooked, add saffron and mash the rice well. 4: On low heat, add the kalkandu and continuously mix until combined well. The mixture will loosen first before thickening up again. 5: In a separate pan, add ghee. Once hot, add the cashews and fry until lightly golden brown. 6: Then add the raisins and immediately turn the flame off.
