Beer Fish & Chips

Delicious beer-battered fish served with crispy french fries and a zesty dip made from mayonnaise and gherkins. Perfect for a fun weekend meal!

What you need

tbsp lemon juice

fl oz beer

cup mayonnaise
cup cornflour

tsp salt

oz french fries
tsp baking powder

tsp ground white pepper

onion

slice fish fillets

tbsp gherkins
Instructions
1: Add the ingredients required for the marination to the mix, mix it gently till it is coated with the marinade and keep it aside. 2: Add all the dry ingredients for the batter to a bowl, mix it well. 3: Add the beer little by little till a batter is formed. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes. 4: In a bowl, add mayonnaise, and the other ingredients for the dip and keep it aside. 5: Heat oil in a kadai and lower the flame. 6: Dip the marinated fish in the batter till it is coated well. Drain off the excess batter. 7: Fry it in medium hot oil till it puffs up and is golden brown. 8: Fry the french fries to a golden brown colour, transfer it to a bowl and toss it with salt. 9: Place the fries on a plate/bowl and place the fried fish on top of it.
