What you need

tsp salt
fl oz oil

cup ghee

tsp ajwain seeds
Instructions
1: To a bowl, add the maida, ajwain, salt and ghee. Mix using your fingers until it turns crumbly, similar to fine breadcrumbs. 2: Add water gradually and knead it into a stiff dough. Cover and rest for 20 minutes. 3: Divide the dough in two. Roll out a piece of dough flat, but make it thicker than a roti/chapathi. 4: Cut it into 1-inch wide strips. Then cut it diagonally to make diamond shapes. Run a knife or spatula underneath to release the pieces. 5: Heat oil for deep-frying. Once hot, add the dough pieces and then reduce the heat to medium. 6: Fry until the colour is light golden brown. 7: This can be cooled and then stored in an airtight container for up to a month.View original recipe
