What you need

Instructions
1: Wash and soak rice and Toor Dal for 30 minutes. 2: Grind the ingredients mentioned under 'To Grind' and keep aside. 3: Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add the tempering ingredients. 4: Add the shallots, red chillies, and curry leaves. 5: Once the shallots turn golden brown, add tomato and sauté it. 6: Add the ground mixture, water, salt, and turmeric powder. 7: Add the soaked rice and dal. Then pressure cook for 4 whistles. 8: Let the pressure settle on its own and serve hot with ghee.View original recipe
