Bengali Fish Curry

A deliciously spicy Bengali Fish Curry made with Rohu fish, marinated in turmeric and salt, and cooked with a blend of spices along with potatoes and tomatoes. This finger-licking dish is perfect for any occasion.

What you need

tsp salt

tomato
green chilli
tbsp mustard oil

onion

tsp cumin powder

cup water
tbsp oil

tsp turmeric powder
tsp red chili powder

Instructions
1: Marinate the fish in salt and turmeric powder. 2: Make a paste of 2 tomatoes, strain and set aside. 3: Make a fine paste of 1 onion. 4: Fry the fish in oil for 3 minutes and set aside. 5: Fry the potato slices in the oil until golden brown and set aside. 6: Add mustard oil and 1 sliced onion and the slit green chillies. Saute for a minute and add the onion paste of 1 onion. Saute for 3 mins. 7: Add the powdered spices, tomato puree and salt and simmer for 4 minutes. 8: Add the potatoes, a cup of water and boil for 5 minutes. 9: Add the fish and cook for 2 minutes.View original recipe
