1: Heat oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds, green chillies and let it crackle. 2: Add the cashew nuts, cook it till it is slightly brown. 3: Add the coriander roots, saute it for a while. Add the coconut and cook it for a minute. 4: Transfer the mixture to a blender, add water and blend it to a fine paste. 5: In another pan, heat oil, add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, cumin, green chillies and let it crackle. 6: Add the onions, saute them till they turn golden brown. 7: Add the ginger garlic paste and cook it for a few seconds. 8: Add turmeric and coriander powder. Cook it for a minute. 9: Add the chicken and mix it till it coats with the masala. 10: Add water, mix well. Cover and cook the chicken for 15 minutes on a medium flame, stirring occasionally. 11: Add the coriander paste, Mix it till the chicken is coated evenly. 12: Cover and cook the chicken for 5 minutes on a medium flame, stirring occasionally. 13: Transfer the chicken to a bowl. Garnish it with chopped coriander. Serve it with rice, chapati/paratha or dosa.
