1: Cut the cauliflower into florets. Wash and drain it. Then add salt, turmeric and enough water to cover. Set aside for 10-15 minutes. 2: Heat oil in a pan and add the whole spices (cinnamon, cardamom, clove, fennel seeds, kalpasi). Add the onion and sauté until it turns translucent. 3: Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute. 4: Add the green chilli, tomato, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder and garam masala powder. Sauté for 3-4 minutes or until the tomato softens. 5: Drain the cauliflower and add it to the pot. Add water, cover and cook for 5 minutes. 6: Prepare the coconut paste by grinding all the ingredients into a fine paste. 7: Add the coconut paste and water. Cover the pot partly with a lid and cook for 5 more minutes. 8: Adjust the amount of salt, add coriander leaves, mix and turn off the heat. Serve with chapathi, Idiyappam or rice.
