1: Add the black urad to a kadhai and saute it on a low-medium flame until thoroughly browned and set aside. 2: In a pressure cooker, pour peanut oil and add cumin seeds, garlic, and green chilli, then add the soaked and drained rice and saute for 30 seconds along with salt until aromatic. 3: Pour water and bring it to a boil, then pressure cook on a moderate flame for 2 whistles. 4: Let the cooker rest for 10 minutes and fluff up the rice. 5: Serve hot.
