Delicious beer-battered fish served with crispy french fries and a zesty dip made from mayonnaise and gherkins. Perfect for a fun weekend meal!

1: Add the ingredients required for the marination to the mix, mix it gently till it is coated with the marinade and keep it aside. 2: Add all the dry ingredients for the batter to a bowl, mix it well. 3: Add the beer little by little till a batter is formed. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes. 4: In a bowl, add mayonnaise, and the other ingredients for the dip and keep it aside. 5: Heat oil in a kadai and lower the flame. 6: Dip the marinated fish in the batter till it is coated well. Drain off the excess batter. 7: Fry it in medium hot oil till it puffs up and is golden brown. 8: Fry the french fries to a golden brown colour, transfer it to a bowl and toss it with salt. 9: Place the fries on a plate/bowl and place the fried fish on top of it. Serve it hot along with the dipping sauce.
