This Nethili Meen Kuzhambhu is a flavorful fish curry made with anchovies cooked in a tamarind-based sauce. Flavored with an array of spices, garlic, shallots, and tomatoes, it's perfect to enjoy hot with rice.

1: Heat a pan, add groundnut oil. 2: Add mustard, cumin, fenugreek, black peppercorns, and let it crackle. 3: Add curry leaves, green chillies, and let it crackle for a few more seconds. 4: Add the garlic cloves and sauté for a few seconds. 5: Add the shallots and sauté till it turns translucent. 6: Add the tomatoes and sauté for 2 minutes. 7: Add the masala powders and mix for a minute. 8: Cook the tomatoes till they turn mashy. 9: Add water and bring it to a boil. 10: Dissolve the tamarind and add the water to the mixture and mix gently. 11: Add the fish. 12: Add salt, mix well. 13: Cover and cook the mixture for 5 minutes. 14: Bring the mixture to a boil, add coriander leaves, and take it off the flame. 15: Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot with rice.
