1: Wash and soak the rice for 4 hours. 2: Add the red chilli flakes and soaked rice to the grinder with ½ cup of water and grind it to a fine consistency. 3: Transfer the batter to a bowl and add the remaining ingredients and mix until a smooth dough is formed. 4: Grease a murukku press with oil and stuff it with the dough. 5: Heat oil in a kadai. 6: Press the dough onto a greased ladle and gently dunk it into the hot oil. 7: Fry until golden brown and crispy and take it out of the oil.
